Okaloosa Board of County Commissioners

There are millions of Americans whose lives have been transformed through recovery. Since these successes often go unnoticed by the broader population, Recovery Month provides a vehicle for everyone to celebrate these accomplishments. Each September, tens of thousands of prevention, treatment, and recovery programs and facilities around the country, including Okaloosa County, celebrate Recovery Month. The Board approved a proclamation recognizing Recovery Month at a meeting earlier this year. Today, the Board recognized Recovery Month on this first day of September. Pictured with the Commissioners is Dana Bafetti Clah, founder and president of The Emerald Coast Life Center, a non-profit dedicated to supporting people facing homelessness, addiction, and incarceration. She is also a volunteer at the Okaloosa County Jail.
